For generations,
the López Vicente family, natives of Vilamartín de Valdeorras (Ourense), has
handed down the culture of wine in the Valdeorras region. They are a family of
viticulturists and grafters, knowledgeable about the land, and have been small
wine makers for decades.
In 2002,
the fourth generation, together with Roberto Fernández García, made a crucial
decision: to make high quality wine. And A Coroa was born, as a tribute to the
family´s ancestors, their efforts and determination. The winery was created
with the idea and philosophy of making Valdeorras a representative region due
to the quality of its wines and the potential of its varieties and territory.
This
winery tries to grow up all over the world and it is achieving it.

TASTING
NOTES: A Coroa 2013presents bold colors, fresh and full of light brightness
that can be summarized as green lemon yellow on a background color that is the
memory of a spring garden, where flowers with green leaves are combined with
plants of light yellow colors. The nose shows warm notes with fresh and sweet
memories like elder, jasmine and lawns that merge with freshly cut fruit such
as pears, apples and mango with a citrus finish very refreshing. The palate is
strong, fresh, lively, combined with the warmth needed for balance in the
mouth. It is structured and powerful. Memories of citrus juices appear,
especially grapefruit with slight bitterness which makes its afterstate long, subtle
and elegant.
